Black Bear Hunts with Bear Lake Guides & Outfitters

Due to the excellent food supply in our area, the black bears grow to impressive sizes. In addition the heavy timber provides an ideal sanctuary for the bear population.

Most black bears harvested measure 6' plus, with about 10% taken in the 7' plus range. The skull sizes vary from 18" – 20" plus. Our success rate is extremely high.

Our black bear hunts are 7 days and take place from May until the middle of June. During this time hunters will see a lot of bears every day. We offer hunts with 2 hunters and 1 guide or 1 hunter and 1 guide, all out of Main Camp.

The hunting method is spot and stalk.

Hunters may take a wolf and/or a second black bear for an additional fee.

Hunt prices in US Funds:

$3,750.00 + $225.00 tax - for a 2:1 hunt, per hunter
$4,750.00 + $285.00 tax - for a 1:1 hunt

Second Bear:

(Hunters need a second black bear tag)

$500.00 to hunt + $800.00 trophy fee upon kill

Hunting license, species tags, Hunter-Preservation Fund (HPF) and royalties are extra.
